A (great big) sigh of relief!

I was so delighted this morning to find out that my secret BRIT QUILT SWAP partner has received her parcel safe & sound & even better, that she likes it!

The challenge was to create a mini quilt, based on the likes & dislikes of your partner. I must admit to being more than a bit daunted at times, but everyone was so positive & all the comments were very encouraging.

As an added treat I made my partner a sewing pouch for her to put her take-along sewing projects, with plenty of room for a hoop & wee pockets for scissors, threads & needles.

I really enjoyed taking part in this swap, it was great fun & lovely to meet lots of other UK based sewers. So thanks ladies for a lot of laughs & wonderful inspiration!

Hope you all have a lovely day & for our US friends a wonderful 4th July weekend

  1. Not only was I lucky enough to be your secret partner but I copied your card this afternoon twenty times - with Emily cutting the triangles for the bunting out of my smallest scraps. She will be trying to sell them tomorrow for the Grow a Pound PTA fundraiser. Thanks for further inspiration.

  4. These were gorgeous surprises for Susan. I loved the fabrics you were using as soon as I saw them over on the flickr group. I "met" Susan through blogging a wee while ago, she's a darling, and I know she's chuffed to bits with her BQS swap!
