Trials with Triangles

For a long time now I have been a long-distance admirer of the sewing escapades of two great quilty folk:
Rita at Red Pepper Quilts (http://www.redpepperquilts.com/)
Anita at Bloomin' Workshop (http://bloominworkshop.wordpress.com/)
One of the particularly wonderful creations they have produced are the shirt stripe boxes quilts which I think were originally inspired by Kaffe Fassett's book Passionate Patchwork. Here are some more:

I love the effect of the lines matching up... so I tried it for myself & all I can say is - it is trickier than it looks... a lot trickier.... even with one of these great gizmos....
Anyway, after many hours of hair-pulling & frustration I managed to produce this quilt top:
I am hoping to finish it soon to send off to my Doll Quilt Swap partner, but my next query is: how to quilt it without loosing the triangle effect? Any suggestions??
Hope you all are having a lovely summery day!
